Originally from Sebokeng, Refentse grew up speaking isiZulu and Setswana, learning Afrikaans only after enrolling at an Afrikaans school and falling deeply in love with the language in the process. That origin story is baked into everything he does.
Born out of the quiet of a pandemic lockdown, Millennium is a rock band from the Helderberg with brotherhood at its core. Founded in 2019 by the Baard brothers from Somerset-West, the band channelled the stillness of 2020 into writing and recording their debut album Ewigheid – released in 2021 to strong local reception.
